Shilparamam is gorged with greenery and provides a peaceful environment. With its rustic richness and creativity, it brings out the imaginative senses of the visitors. The place is sculpted with jewellery, clothes, weaves, pottery, woodwork and local crafts from all over the country. It also had 15 life-sized huts that are made baked clay and thatch which reflects the true flavor of rural and tribal lifestyles. Out of the many places here, few important ones include

The rural museum depicts a typical Indian village which offers a window to the rural life for the people who have never seen a village. It also has sculptures and life-size models that mimic the daily activities of rural artisans. You can even enjoy the delightful experience of boating (rowing and paddle boats available) at Shilparamam. The rock museum which represents an ecological side that has rock collections by Shantiniketan’s Subroto Basu and even the natural rock formations. The educational center inside conducts training camps, workshops and short term training classes. During the first two weeks of March, an annual festival of arts and crafts is held.
Shilparamam shopping is famous for visiting tourists and even the residents of Hyderabad. The place offers a perfect shopping experience. The shopping lists can include hand-woven saris, bedsheets, shawls and dresses; traditional jewellery; hand-crafted wooden and metal wares. Textiles ranging from Kashmiri, Sambhalpur, Tangail, Kanjeevaram, Dharmavaram, Peddapuram, Bandar and Guntur. There is an option for some street shopping too just you need to have some flair of bargaining.
In the month of January during Sankranti and in October during the ten days of Dussehra, various cultural activities of organized. Added to these, kite festival, Ugadi, Navaratri, South Indian festivals, Annual craft festivals are also celebrated in a traditional way. Shilparamam can be visited all round the year but visiting during the festive times will add more fun.
Along the lines of Shilparamam at Madhapur, a Mini Shilparamam was launched on the eastern side of the Hyderabad at Uppal. This crafts village which is approved by HMDA is spread over 7.5 acres that feature an amphitheater, children’s play areas, food courts, waterfall and different kinds of artifacts.
