The fountain is 180 meters in length, 10 meters wide and has a height of around 90 meters, and features several exceptional features, including three laser sets, mist fairy fog to create a cloud effect, 800 high-powered nozzles, and 880 underwater LED lights. The launching of the fountain has made the lake more attractive to tourists and is seen as a new tourist attraction in the area. The citizens passing through Tank Bund and other areas near the lake were amazed by the fountains timed to music.
The musical floating fountain was unveiled ahead of the Formula E race slated for Saturday and has added to the beauty of the Hussain Sagar Lake. The fountains are a rare aqua-screen type, which is a fusion of light, sound, and water, and are longer than the 158-meter floating fountains at Futala Lake in Nagpur.
It was developed at a cost of Rs. 17.02 crore.
The HMDA has scheduled three 20-minute shows to take place during the weekdays. On the weekends, there will be four shows, which will be held between the hours of 7 PM and 10 PM. The musical fountains have left onlookers in amazement with their glowing lights and water spilling, timed to music. The launch of the musical floating fountain was officially started by Ministers Talasani Srinivas and Mahamood Ali.
Lumbini Park, a nearby public park, also offers a musical fountain, laser shows, and boating facilities, open from 9 am to 9 pm.
