Ramoji Film City

Ramoji Film City is located at a distance of 30 km from the city of Hyderabad which is spread over 2500 acres on the NH-9 (Vijayawada Highway). The Film City has been certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s largest Film Studio Complex. It was set up in 1991 by the head of Ramoji Group, Ramoji Rao, a media baron who is into movies, TV and Newspaper. In the beginning, the film city was only into films but then soon after two years, it started welcoming tourists. As being one of the most popular destinations in India it attracts nearly one and half a million visitors per year.

 

At one go the film city can accommodate 20 film units and plays as a host to at least 100 production companies a year in Telugu, Hindi and English. It has various shooting locations that include Hollywood Signage, London Street, Japanese Gardens, Airport, Railway station, Hospital, Landscapes and various other buildings. Ramoji Film City offers the complete film making facility from pre to post film production. Adventure Sports: Few of the many adventure sports offered in the film city are bungee ejection, climbing through the loop and other sports like football, basketball and cricket.
